Yes, Moses foreshadows Jesus through numerous parallels in their lives, roles, and missions, acting as a “type” of Christ, from miraculous infancy escapes (Pharaoh/Herod) and leadership in delivering people from bondage (Egypt/sin) to performing miracles like feeding the masses and mediating between God and people, culminating in prophecy (Deuteronomy 18:15) identifying Jesus as the greater “prophet like Moses”.

Key Parallels & Foreshadowing:

Infancy Miracles: Both Moses (saved from Pharaoh’s decree to kill male infants) and Jesus (saved from Herod’s massacre) had divine intervention protect them as babies from evil rulers.
Deliverers: Moses led Israelites from physical slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land; Jesus leads humanity from spiritual slavery to sin to eternal life.
Royal Connections: Moses was raised in Egyptian royalty, and Jesus left His heavenly royalty to serve on Earth.
Miraculous Provision: Both performed acts of miraculous feeding (manna/bread) and led people through waters (Red Sea/baptism).
Mediators: Both acted as mediators, bringing God’s word and law (Ten Commandments on a mountain) to their people.
Prophetic Fulfillment: Moses prophesied God would raise up a prophet like him (Deuteronomy 18:15), a prophecy New Testament figures identified as Jesus.
Passover Lamb: The Passover lamb under Moses foreshadowed Jesus as the ultimate “Passover Lamb” whose blood offers final redemption.

These connections suggest Moses’ life and work were designed by God to prepare people to recognize the greater Messiah, Jesus, who fulfills and surpasses all that Moses foreshadowed.

Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. Jesus Offered Himself For Our Sins As Atonement and God Accepted His Perfect Sinless Sacrifice
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only [so], but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. [Romans 5:6-11 KJV]
