REPENT = Change your mind and heart and turn back to God.

Your heart has been in a hardened and resistant state  of disagreement and must turn to a softer and sincerely sorrowful agreement with the gospels & the bible.

Acknowledge to God that you have a sinful past, present and future if you don’t change.  Agree that you need to change, and ask God to increase your faith in Jesus and reveal His purpose for your life to you.

Apologize for whatever sins you know you’ve committed against a Holy God in your life and ask Him to help you through Jesus going forward…ask God for the gift of grace and His Holy Spirit.  Nothing wavering.

But most of all always be sincere.

[Luke 13:1 KJV] There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
[Luke 13:3 KJV] I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
[Luke 13:4 KJV] Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
[Luke 13:5 KJV] I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

[Acts 3:18-20 KJV]

But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

[Ezek 18:20 KJV] The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
[Ezek 18:21 KJV] But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
[Ezek 18:22 KJV] All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
[Ezek 18:23 KJV] Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: [and] not that he should return from his ways, and live?
[Ezek 18:24 KJV] But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked [man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
[Ezek 18:25 KJV] Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
[Ezek 18:26 KJV] When a righteous [man] turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
[Ezek 18:27 KJV] Again, when the wicked [man] turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
[Ezek 18:28 KJV] Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
[Ezek 18:29 KJV] Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
[Ezek 18:30 KJV] Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
[Ezek 18:31 KJV] Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
[Ezek 18:32 KJV] For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn [yourselves], and live ye.

REND HEART NOT GARMENT

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye [even] to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
