NOAH
Noah’s name meant “rest.” He preached and asked people to come to his ark to find shelter and rest from the coming storm and to be taken to the new world after God’s judgement.

This may be a foreshadow to the hope we have for everlasting rest when Jesus brings us into the true new land.

JESUS
He preached and asked people to believe in Him for cofort and rest.

“Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Noah’s Ark ;

Noah was warned by God and instructed to build an ark to save all those who would enter.

NOAH + ARK
[Gen 7:15-16 KJV] 15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein [is] the breath of life. 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

Noah had to have faith in what God had told him to do and build the ark and go through the door and the LORD shut the door.

All that got on the ark were saved.

[Gen 7:1 KJV] 1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

JESUS
We will be taken from this world and to a new heaven and a new Earth.

[Jhn 10:7 KJV] 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

[Rev 3:7 KJV] 7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

[Act 16:31 KJV] 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

NOAH + ARK
Noah did not design the ark. God did. Noah did not plan for his deliverance, but God did. Noah was to prepare an ark, according to God’s plan. He was to preacher of righteousness and warned the world to turn from their sin.

The Ark was to be built containing 3 levels.

JESUS
Jesus was prepared from the foundation of the world to offer salvation to the world and He obeyed God the Father’s commands while here on the Earth. He warned of God’s judgment and warned to turn from sin.

[Jhn 14:2 KJV] 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (OFTEN TRANSLATED AS MANY ROOMS / ABODES)

We are told that their is a 1st, 2nd and 3rd heaven in the Gospels.

NOAH + ARK
[Gen 6:14 KJV] 14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. The Ark was sealed.

The pitch was a covering for the ark…it sealed it from the storm and lasted until they were set down in the new world…

The ark only had one door…one way in or out and all that did not come in perished…

[Gen 6:16 KJV] 16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; [with] lower, second, and third [stories] shalt thou make it.

JESUS
[Eph 4:30 KJV] 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Jesus’ blood is what covers us and we are sealed by it until redemption and given a new heaven and new earth…

[Jhn 14:6 KJV] 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

NOAH

[Gen 6:8 KJV] 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

[Heb 11:7 KJV] 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

[Gen 6:9 KJV] 9 These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God.

JESUS
Jesus was God in the flesh and tells us all how we can have access to grace through our faith in Him.

.[Rom 5:2 KJV] 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Jesus was perfect in His generations and He walked with God and God was well pleased with Jesus.

ARK
The Ark was to be made of wood and it was to be lifted up and bear God’s wrath.

Ark was to be covered in pitch – Definition of PITCH= kāp̄ar= to cover, purge, make an atonement, make reconciliation, cover over with pitch

The Ark was baptised with water, and ‘raptured’ or lifted above the earth on top of the waters and saved all the people who had believed and entered with Noah ( name means ‘rest’ ) and left the old sin filled world to it’s doom

The flood came suddenly and unexpectedly to those on the Earth who laughed and mocked Noah.

The ark had one door. It was the only way in and God shut the door.

JESUS
Jesus and the wood were lifted up and bore God’s wrath on the wooden cross.

Jesus shed his blood and when we believe in Him He covers us inside and out, the Holy Ghost seals us unto the day of redemption. We are offered reconciliation and He purges our sins and covers them.

Jesus lifted Himself up above the world and has promised if we rest in Him, are baptised in His name, that He will lift us up from this world of sin before it’s judgement.

Jesus warns that His return and the tribulation that is to come on the whole world will be like in the Day’s of Noah.

Jesus said : I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [John 10:9 KJV]

1. Noah’s ark (Genesis 6:13-22)

When God decided to destroy the world through a flood, He chose to spare Noah and his family because Noah found favor in His eyes.

Consequently, God instructed Noah to build an ark, to enter it, and to bring his family and lots of animals with him. Once they entered, the Lord shut the door, and everyone within the ark survived the flood.

As the ark protected Noah and his family from the flood, Jesus protects us from judgment. He is the door of the sheep, and once we enter in Him, we will be saved from the wrath of God and receive life (John 10:9).

Also, as the ark was the only way to escape the flood, Jesus is the only way to salvation (John 14:6). Peter even said the flood was a type of baptism through the resurrection of Christ (1 Peter 3:21).

The 17th day of Nisan, according to the Jewish Jewish calander is in fact, 3 days after Passover. Amazing.
