Let's Get To The Heart Of The Matter First
First..God is a Spirit, not a religion. Yes, the bible is a religious book, but it is also a spiritual book. God is the Spirit of Truth. God’s Word has multiple functions that include both religious and spiritual works, concepts and applications. No religious work can get you to God. Jesus did the work of dying for your sins on the cross. Religious people killed Him. But the good news is that He rose again (in the flesh) on the third day by the Spirit of God because He had not sinned. [John 1:17 KJV] For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. [John 4:24 KJV] God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. The Spirit of God knows you better than you know yourself. He will ‘validate’ your belief and personally send you His Spirit when He knows you have come into agreement with Him and believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and that He rose again. Until then, you are simply playing at religion, but you will never fool God. Jesus said [John 3:7 KJV] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Now let’s learn about:

Worship In Spirit & Truth
[1Jo 1:8 KJV] 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[Jhn 4:23 KJV] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
[Jhn 4:24 KJV] God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
He know the truth, He is the Truth.
[Jhn 14:6 KJV] 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
[Jhn 18:37 KJV] 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
[Jhn 18:38 KJV] Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault [at all].
This is God we are talking about. All knowing & all powerful. Currently – whose spirtually adopted child are you? God’s thrugh Jesus, or some other way? Are you spiritually of Christ, or anti-christ. Whose spiritual battle ground do you want to die on?
Our sin and our disbelief separates us from God. You can’t come to God except through Jesus who is the tuth manifest in the flesh.
[1Ti 3:16 KJV] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
You can’t be disbelieving and believing at the same time.
You can’t be in the truth and a lie at the same time either. There is now separation from truth if you have ever told a lie or you don’t really believe that Jesus resurrected, or that He was telling. God knows. God does not over-look facts.
You must choose this day who you will serve : God through Jesus, in truth, or some other way. This was what Jesus said, and any other way is a different Gospel.
[Gal 4:16 KJV] 16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
[2Th 2:10 KJV] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[1Jo 3:18 KJV] My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
[Jhn 8:44 KJV] 44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
[3Jo 1:4 KJV] 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Have you called out to Jesus and believed He rose from death and has the power and authority to save you?
Don't Worship In Vain
If you are only singing and dancing, or just going to church and but your heart is not right with God, perhaps you have unconfessed sins that you know of and you have not turned from them then you are probably worshiping in vain.
[Mark 7:6 KJV] He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with [their] lips, but their heart is far from me.
[Mark 7:7 KJV] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.
[Mark 7:8 KJV] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, [as] the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
[Mark 7:9 KJV] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
