Please consider donating blood BEFORE getting a tattoo. Lives depend on it. Perhaps it’s someone you love.

Why donate blood before getting a tattoo?

Because many states & hospitals require up to 1 year of a ‘cool down’ waiting period before they will allow you to safely make either a blood donation, bone marrow, or stem cells to anyone, even a loved one.  

Perhaps someone you know gets sick and may depend on YOU to be their matching donor. 

Why can’t I donate blood again safely for up to a year?

Dangers from the inks, needles, etc. may cause harm to someone who’s immune system is compromised. 

Your own relatives may be depending on your blood and stem cells.

Our Beginning: Seeking Ways To Give Back After Surviving Cancer…

Perhaps ironically, A Lift For Lives was founded by a cancer survivor with a goal of encouraging people to donate their blood before getting a tattoo to help save people who are sick.  He also wanted to do good things for people who are sick, perhaps to feel justified for surviving cancer when so many others have not.

About a year after starting the organization the founder got saved by Jesus.  Not for being good, but because he repented of his sins, put his faith in the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His authority to forgive sin, His goodness to offer Himself a sacrifice, and His resurrection after death.  

After being born again the organization was at a stand still for some time while the founder re-evaluated if the organization was needed at all or what to do with the gifts that Jesus has given him.  

Since then the organization was lead by the spirit towards a focus on pointing the spiritually sick and lost towards Jesus.  The blood we point people towards is not giving their own blood before a tattoo, but accepting the donated blood of the living Savior before their death.  

We have a call to focus on street ministry as a labor of love for Jesus. 

It’s His blood donation for us all and our sins that matters the most. 

The “Lift For Lives” we realized is Jesus.

Jesus taught: 

[John 12:32 KJV] And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [men] unto me.

So we lift up Jesus.  He was lifted for our lives and yours.  We now realize that we were not saved by our works, but that we have been saved unto good works that are in Him….otherwise we were just helping people with handouts and giving them blood that only lasts so long. 

This nonprofit is now maintained to share Jesus with the world as a way to thank Him for saving their souls!

Our site is meant to be a free resource for learning and collecting evidence for the resurrection of Jesus and the bible, as well as provide a way for sharing original content we create as we grow in Him and in the scriptures. 

Street ministry and evangelism by sharing the gospel is our first priority.  We also have other passions such as Christian counseling in addition to encouraging people who are getting new tattoos to consider donating blood first thereby promoting more and safer blood donations.  Note : The cool-down period recommended in many states is up to 1 year before donating blood again to a family member or another because of various health concerns. 

If it be in God’s will that this information or this site helps someone, then we give Him all the glory. God has a purpose for all of us.  We pray He reveal His purpose for you!

Recommend Artist & Shops: Looking Forward

In addition to sharing the gospel, we have a goal of reaching out and meeting various tattoo artists and shops that support our tattoo safety and blood donation awareness goals.  

We simply encourage artists to post a reminder we ceate in collaboration with them in their shop.  This is a free-will good-will project and completely voluntary.
