There are many forms of antichrist in the world today. The spirit of antichrist has been here always and not the ‘man’ himself who will be revealed and demand worship.
[2Jo 1:7 KJV] 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
For example, I was AN antichrist before I was in Christ, but thankfully I confess that Jesus is come in the flesh now, and more thankfully I am not THE antichrist.
- I did not confess that Jesus Christ died and rose again for my sins.
- I was not a professing antichrist, or would have thought that I was a ‘bad person’.
- I was average, but that does not mean that I was ‘good’.
- I had not considered my sin condition as deeply as I wish I would have sooner.
- Although I wanted peace, truth, and justice in the world, I was often as guilty as all others.
Eventually I became aware of how disgusting sin is and in agreement that a loving God will not tolerate sin in His presence forever. Because of many of my sins and non-belief, by default I was unknowingly a practicing antichrist, who like so many put myself ahead of others most often.
Thank God for His patience, and that He forgave when I confessed my sins and accepted His Son who had come for the lost. I was blind, but now I see.
