2 (Witness/Division): Symbolizes a valid testimony (two witnesses) or opposition (Matthew 26:60, Luke 10:1).
3 (Divine Perfection/Completeness): Represents the Trinity and divine wholeness (e.g., Jesus rose on the 3rd day).
4 (Earthly/Creation): Relates to the earth, such as four seasons, four directions, and four Gospels.
5 (Grace/Favor): Pertains to God’s grace, such as the five books of the Law or offerings in Leviticus.
6 (Humanity/Imperfect): The number of man, created on the 6th day, often representing weakness or imperfection (666).
7 (Spiritual Perfection/Completion): Represents divine completeness, such as the seven days of creation or seven churches.
8 (New Beginnings): Symbolizes a new era or resurrection (e.g., 8 people on Noah’s ark, Jesus rising on the 8th day).
10 (Ordinal/Law Perfection): Represents total, or earthly, completeness, such as the Ten Commandments.
12 (Governmental Perfection): Symbolizes perfect authority, such as 12 tribes of Israel and 12 apostles.
40 (Testing/Trial): Signifies a period of testing, temptation, or judgment (e.g., 40 days of rain, 40 years in the wilderness).

While some interpretations (gematria) assign values to letters, many scholars emphasize that these symbolic numbers primarily serve to reinforce themes of God’s order and faithfulness.
